In Vigiliis Apostolorum

Today we turn our attention towards the Commune Sanctorum. The first common to meet us is that of the Vigil of an Apostle. The Mass is exactly the same as existed in the Roman Missal prior to the calendar reform of 1955 (Cum nostra).

However, unlike its Roman counterpart, the Bragan Common has a Vigil for two Apostles (pro duobus Apostolis). The texts of the Mass are the same as those of the Vigil os Sts. Simon and Jude, with N. in place of the names.
